Idaho Army National Guard Spc. Brett Neal, 12B combat engineer, Alpha Company, 116th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team, prepares his equipment and his M1150 Assault Breach Vehicle June 10, 2019, for the upcoming live-fire mission at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, California. Neal’s mission is to breach enemy obstacles and minefields. He said that he enjoys training at NTC because he is able to decrease the time it takes to conduct a breach in order to help friendly Soldiers get out of enemy contact.
The 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team is training at the National Training Center May 24 - June 20 to prepare for its wartime mission. The rotation builds unit and Soldier proficiency to provide combatant commanders with a trained and ready force capable of fighting and winning our nation's wars.
