(June. 12, 2019) Navy Diver 2nd Class Thomas Parhiala, assigned to Naval Submarine Support Facility New London, is awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for his actions after diving into a pond to save a motorist who drove off the road in to a partially frozen lake.
