190607-N-WI365-2313 PHILIPPINE SEA (June 07, 2019) – Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Steve Wagoner, from Oakland, New Jersey, washes off the Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) fluid at the end of the final phase of the security reaction force-basic course on the flight deck of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48). Ashland, part of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
