A French schoolchild from the town of Montebourg places a white rose at the site of a memorial to the 4th Infantry Division (4 ID) during a ceremony marking 75 years since that unit liberated the town and surrounding region from Nazi occupation, Montebourg, France, June 8, 2019. The ceremony featured French schoolchildren, local dignitaries, Soldiers from 4 ID, and French survivors from the town, which was heavily bombed and struck by artillery by both sides fighting for control.
