A work crew from the Illinois Department of corrections loads sandbags onto a piece of civilian construction equipment as part of flood-fighting operations north of Carrollton, IL., in the Hartwell Levee and Drainage District during Operation Ready Response 2019. Work crews supplement the Illinois Emergency Management Agency, the Illinois National Guard, the Illinois state Police, volunteers, and other agencies combating dangerous floodwaters along the flooded Illinois and Mississippi Rivers.
