Soldiers assigned to 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division man a Bradley Fighting Vehicle and scan the horizon to keep situational awareness during the Iron Focus 19.1 exercise June 6 at Orogrande Range Camp, N.M. Iron Focus 19.1 simulates real world combat scenarios allowing the Iron Soldiers of the 2ABCT to train under stressful conditions in order to prepare the unit to maximize their effectiveness, leadership capability and unit cohesion. Iron Focus is one of the largest exercises on Fort Bliss, and it provides the commanding general of the 1st Armored Division a realistic platform to assess the readiness of the Brigade to ensure they are fully trained and prepared to conduct worldwide contingency operations.
