EMC(SW/AW) Fernando Balla, from the Ticonderoga-Class guided missile cruiser USS Vicksburg (CG-69) re-enlisted this afternoon on the teak decks of the decommissioned Iowa-Class Battleship USS Wisconsin (BB-64). The re-enlistment ceremony took place in front of turret #1 and in-front of members of his division and family; and today is also his birthday which was also celebrated. The ceremony was hosted by the Hampton Roads Naval Museum aboard the Wisconsin; the museum is able to host military ceremonies for area commands aboard the battleship without cost.
