A participant at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital’s Baby Steps Baby Expo on Fort Campbell, Kentucky, tries on a pregnancy suit designed to allow wearers to experience some ways pregnancy affects the body. Once the suit was on, wearers were asked to complete everyday tasks like tying their shoelaces and picking up small objects off the floor. The suit is used in the hospital’s Centering Pregnancy prenatal program to allow partners to gain understanding and awareness of what expectant mothers may experience. The baby expo was a free information fair for military families at Fort Campbell who are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or welcomed a baby in the last year. U.S. Army photo by Maria Yager.
