Capt. Shirley Albritton makes remarks following a ceremony to promote her from first lieutenant at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers North Atlantic Division headquarters at Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn, New York on May 30, 2019. Albritton is currently assigned as the aide-de-camp to the division's commanding general, Maj. Gen. Jeffrey Milhorn. During the ceremony, her parents Frankie and Angela Albritton replaced her former rank with engineer captain shoulder boards and Maj. Gen. Milhorn administered the commissioning oath to her.
