Lt. Gen. Christopher Cavoli, commanding general of U.S. Army Europe, visited paratroopers of the 173rd Airborne Brigade stationed in Vicenza, Italy, Wednesday, May 29, 2019. Sky Soldiers of the brigade demonstrated their equipment and lethal skills to the commanding general as he inspected readiness across base. After he finished touring Caserma Del Din, he took time to speak to all brigade leaders about how the 173rd Airborne Brigade provides ready forces for the European theater and contributes an essential role to EUCOM. The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army's Contingency Response Force in Europe, capable of projecting ready forces anywhere in the U.S. European, Africa or Central Commands' areas of responsibility.
