BRIDGETOWN, Barbados (May 24, 2019) - Navy Diver 2nd Class Bruce Dagata jumps into the water as part a surface augmented underwater breathing exercise with members of the Barbados coast guard. He is assigned to Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit, Company 22 (MDSU-22) who are deployed to Barbados as part of Southern Partnership Station 2019 (SPS 19). Southern Partnership Station (SPS) is an annual series of U.S. Navy deployments focused on exchanges with regional partner nation militaries and security forces. SPS 2019 will consist of fly-away deployments of adaptive force packages (AFPs) to Barbados, Colombia, Guatemala, Honduras and Peru that will conduct training and subject matter expert exchanges to improve capacity in medical, dive operations, engineering, and explosive ordnance disposal.
