Iron Soldiers assigned to the 1st Armored Division run in formation during the initial portion of a division-wide run on Fort Bliss, Texas, May 23. The run was organized to build morale and readiness within the division, and concluded with an address by Maj. Gen. Patrick E. Matlock, the commanding general of the 1st Armored Division and Fort Bliss, centered around the importance of honoring those who have lost their lives in defense of the nation, and the significance of Memorial Day.
