During a charity luncheon aboard the USS Peleliu at Naval Base San Diego, President Jimmy Carter speaks about today’s military and how it has changed since he served as a submariner in the late 1940s and 1950s. The ship’s service members conducted guided tours before the luncheon and interacted with the former president aboard the amphibious assault ship, March 10.
