A busy fuel station with a distinctive sawtooth-edged concrete canopy roof, located in what appears to be a Middle Eastern setting based on the architecture, arid landscape, and vehicle mix. Multiple vehicles are queued at the pumps being serviced, with several people visible around the forecourt. The station includes a small office or shop building at the rear.

Barriers were placed around this fueling station in Baghdad's Zafaraniyah neighborhood to provide protection against car bombings. A steady security presence by Iraqi security forces and members of the 2nd Battalion, 17th Field Artillery Regiment, part of the 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team based out of Fort Carson, Colo., also helps to deny extremist groups from profiting from black market activity at the station.
