Sgt. Ayrin Hamner-Ripperger, the administration and supply non-commissioned officer for the 831st Engineer Company, Iowa Army National Guard (IANG), smiles as she runs the Madison Full Marathon on Veteran's Day 2018. After joining the IANG and getting a full-time job at Camp Dodge Joint Maneuver Training Center, Hamner-Ripperger found a passion for running. In September 2018, she decided to run a half marathon in every state. She will check the 50th state off her list when she runs in South Dakota in October 2019. (Courtesy photo)
