More than 70 petty officers and chief petty officers work on navigation charts during the current 2012 Seaman-to-Admiral and Naval Science Institute (STA-21/NSI) class at Officer Training Command. The sailors are going through the eight-week course of intense officer preparation and indoctrination. Course enrollment is timed to allow college entrance during summer or fall semesters/quarters after selection.
