    A bronze National Historic Landmark plaque designating Thomas Point Shoal Light Station as a National Historic Landmark. The plaque was issued in 1999 by the National Park Service, United States Department of the Interior. It notes the structure was built in 1875 and is the last unaltered screwpile cottage-type lighthouse on its original foundation in the nation.
