San Diego area high school inspect a Autonomous Underwater Vehicle while touring Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific’s Unmanned Maritime Vehicle lab as part of their IT Shadow Day itinerary. Federal Information Technology (IT) Shadow Day provides high school students a unique opportunity to observe the federal IT workforce and learn about professional careers in the IT field. As the Navy's Information Dominance Systems Command, SPAWAR supports robotics development and strongly encourages all students to explore careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields.
