Cpl. Ashley M. Pawlowski, senior combatives instructor assigned to Company B, 1st Special Troops Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, points out the correct way to gain dominant position when an opponent has the upper hand, Feb. 27, to Pfc. Pawloski, a native of Greensboro, N.C., was the senior instructor for 18 soldiers, including Pheth, a native of Spanaway, Wash., assigned to 1st STB, 1st BCT, 4th Inf. Div., who tackled a week long course Feb. 27 – March 2, in order to become level one certified in the U.S. Army’s combatives program.
