Plane captain's direct an E-2C Hawkeye assigned to the "Golden Hawks" of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 112 as it starts engines prior to flight operations aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74), June 27. Stennis and embarked Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 9, is on a scheduled deployment in support of the global war on terrorism and maritime operations.
