Brigade Commander, Col. Scott McKean, and Command Sgt. Maj. Thomas Eppler, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, unfurl the “Highlander” colors during an uncasing ceremony Feb. 24 at the Highlander Parade Field on East Fort Bliss. McKean ordered the unit colors to be uncased, which signified the brigade’s official return from their latest Iraq deployment in support of Operation New Dawn.
