    U.S. Special Operations Forces personnel board an ISAF helicopter during a personnel recovery mission in the remote village of Cabalaq, Feb. 22. Nine Afghan Uniformed policemen and two Afghan women were rescued by USSOF after becoming stranded by severe snowstorms.

    A U.S. Army CH-47 Chinook helicopter is on the ground at what appears to be a forward operating base (FOB) in an arid desert environment. Several soldiers in full combat gear are disembarking or loading via the rear ramp of the helicopter. The base perimeter is defined by HESCO barriers and the rotors are spinning, indicating the aircraft is still powered.
