Col. Andrew Kelly, commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District, signs a public partnership agreement with St. Johns County, Fla., for a coastal storm risk management project during a ceremony at the St. Johns County Administrative building in Saint Augustine, Fla., April 23. The project plan will reduce storm damage to infrastructure, including damage to State Road A1A, the main hurricane evacuation route for that area. The project will also protect and enhance animal habitat and environmental resources, maintain recreation areas, and enhance beach/dune interaction.
