An ROTC Northwoods Battalion cadet participates in a field training exercise April 6, 2019, at a range at Fort McCoy, Wis. Numerous cadets with the battalion completed field training at Fort McCoy from April 5-7. The battalion regularly comes to the installation for training opportunities. Though the battalion is centered at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, it also includes ROTC cadets at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
