This year marks the 25th anniversary of the CARAT series beginning in the southern region of the island nation of Sri Lanka, where U. S. Sailors and Marines join the Sri Lanka maritime forces to conduct partnered training focusing on building interoperability during both the sea and shore phases of the exercise.
