Lance Cpl. Edgar M. Langle, a rifleman with Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, heads to a community relations event at Nature Marai Park, Kin Town, Okinawa, Japan, April 19, 2019. Community relations events give Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit the opportunity to give back and contribute to surrounding communities between Camp Hansen and Kin Town. Langle, a native of Minneapolis, Minn., graduated from Spring Lake Park High School in June 2015, before enlisting in September of the same year. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
