Spc. Colby Bourland, an Appleton, Mo., native and an infantryman with Company A, 1-8th Combined Arms Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, uses natural vegetation for cover during an air assault mission at Fort Carson, Colo. The training mission allowed "Striker" Soldiers a chance to practice a skill set not normally available to mechanized infantry Soldiers.
