Cmdr. David Paz is awarded the Meritorious Service Medal by Rear Adm. Paul Pearigen, commander, Navy Medicine West, and chief of the Navy Medical Corps, during an all hands call onboard Naval Base San Diego. Navy Medicine West provides medical care to nearly 700,000 beneficiaries throughout the West Coast of the U.S., Asia, and the Pacific.
