U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Sean Deam, Charlie flight chief and Staff Sgt. Marcos Silverio, compete in the Urban Tactics portion of the Best Ranger Competition, April 12, 2019, at Fort Benning, Georgia. Both Airmen are Tactical Air Control Party personnel from the 10th Air Support Operations Squadron, Fort Riley, Kansas. The Best Ranger Competition 2019, is the 36th anniversary of this grueling competition, starring the best soldiers of the world, our United States Army, RANGERS! The Best Ranger Competition measures competitors with a grueling three-day competition in which competitors move 70 miles, shoot at eight ranges, and complete Ranger tactical task. The Best Ranger Competition was started in 1982 after Dick Leandri found a way to honor his personal friend, Lieutenant General David E. Grange, Jr. (U.S. Air Force photo by Sarayuth Pinthong)
