Hiroya Ako exchange best practices for dental techniques at Pagasa Elementary School in Pagasa, Bataan, Philippines, during a cooperative health engagement as a part of Exercise Balikatan, April 8, 2019. There are numerous humanitarian and civic action projects scheduled during Balikatan. Combined Philippine-U.S. medical and dental teams provided medical and dental subject matter expert exchanges in various locations throughout the island of Luzon. Balanquit, a Floridablanca, Pampanga native, is a dental surgeon with 1302nd PAF Dental Dispensary. Ako, a Seattle, Washington native, is a dentist with 21st Dental Company.
