NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY, Bahrain (April 9, 2019) Sgt. Darnell A. Gomez, a warehouse noncommissioned officer and Marine Corps Martial Arts Program instructor with Naval Amphibious Forces, Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade, hosts a self-defense class as part of Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month. This year’s theme, “protecting our people protects our mission,” emphasizes how every service member, regardless of rank, can encourage behaviors that foster a climate of dignity and respect, and in doing so, help ensure readiness to complete the mission.
