Brig. Gen. Fredrick M. Padilla speaks during a memorial service for two fallen 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion Marines on Camp Schwab Feb. 3. The Marines were killed in action during their unit’s seven-month deployment to Afghanistan last year. Sgt. Daniel D. Gurr and Cpl. Adam J. Buyes were both remembered fondly during the service.
