NORAD was established at the Cheyenne Mountain complex in 1958 before moving day-to-day operations to Peterson Air Force Base in 2006. Chief Wright spent the afternoon meeting Airmen assigned to the world's only joint and bi-national command responsible for protecting and defending the homeland.
