CAMP ARIFJAN, Kuwait – Army Maj. Brian Pranske, 108th Sustainment Brigade, Illinois Army National Guard, swims a lap during the swim event of the German Armed Forces Badge (GAFB) for Military Proficiency on April 8, 2019, at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. During this event, service members must swim 100 meters in uniform within four minutes and then remove their uniform in the deep end without support. U.S. Army Central hosts events such as the GAFB to enhance service member’s personal abilities to stay combat ready which improves overall capabilities.
