NORFOLK, Va. (April 5, 2019) – Chief Warrant Officer 2 Ed Kracker, the most senior qualified submariner, and Machinist Mate (Auxiliary) Fireman Victor Ventimilla, the junior qualified submariner, cut a cake with VADM Chas Richard, Commander, Submarine Forces, to celebrate the Force’s 119th birthday. Kracker earned his submarine warfare qualification in 1944 aboard USS Bang (SS 385). Ventimilla qualified March 2019 on USS Washington (SSN 787).
