Fourteen-year veteran Sgt. 1st Class Miguel Sanchez, platoon sergeant for the 2nd "Dirty Deuce' Platoon, Company A, 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, out of Fort Bliss, Texas, currently attached to the 2nd BCT, 1st Infantry Division, takes a knee during a visit to a western Baghdad home Aug. 1. The Odessa, Texas, native was pulling guard while his platoon medic aided an Iraqi girl who couldn't walk.
