Fourteen-year veteran Sgt. 1st Class Miguel Sanchez, left, the platoon sergeant of the 2nd "Dirty Deuce" Platoon, Company A, 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, out of Fort Bliss, Texas, currently attached to the 2nd BCT, 1st Infantry Division, communicates through an interpreter with the Iraqi army soldiers at a checkpoint in western Baghdad Aug. 3. During the stop, the Odessa, Texas, native got an update on the occurrences in the area and discussed what the Iraqi soldiers currently manning the checkpoint needed.
