U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Jeremy P. Cook from 4th Squad, 1st Platoon (1st Plt), Alpha Battery, 1st Battalion, 12th Marines (1/12), Task Force Military Police (TFMP) peers through the scope of his M4 rifle for abnormal activity during a foot patrol through Al Waleed, Iraq. 1st Plt develops community relations through foot patrols and provide security for the town by the Iraq-Syria border. 1/12 TFMP is deployed with Multi National Forces-West in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar province of Iraq to develop Iraqi Security Forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic reforms, and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi reconstruction.
