Navy Medicine West (NMW) Command Master Chief Loren Rucker and Mrs. Nicole Taylor pin First Class insignia on Hospital Corpsman 1st Class (HM1) David Taylor after he was advanced from HM2. Rear Adm. Paul Pearigen, NMW commander and chief of the Navy's Medical Corps, meritoriously advanced HM1 Taylor during an all hands call at regional headquarters onboard Naval Base San Diego. The Meritorious Advancement Program provides commands the opportunity to recognize their best Sailors, advancing them when they are ready for the next level of responsibility.
