The image shows a U.S. Air Force F-15 Eagle fighter jet flying in formation near a larger USAF aircraft, photographed from the wing of the accompanying plane. The tail code 'LN' on the F-15 indicates it is assigned to RAF Lakenheath, England. The overcast, hazy sky conditions reduce overall visibility but the aircraft details remain discernible.

After being refueled by an RAF Mildenhall KC-135 Stratotanker, an RAF Lakenheath F-15E Strike Eagle assumes position at the Stratotanker’s wing, Aug. 26. Being a wingman is an Air Force concept the base shared with local community teachers that day, as the base hosted four educators and brought them aboard a community orientation flight.
