    Underwater Construction Team 2

    190314-N- ZN259-1005 SAN CLEMENTE ISLAND, Calif. (Mar. 14, 2019) – U.S. Navy Construction Mechanic 2nd Class Ryan Filo, assigned to Underwater Construction Team 2 (UCT-2), enters the water for 115-foot deep dive at San Clemente Island during Exercise Pacific Blitz 2019 (PacBlitz19). UCT-2 provides responsive inshore and underwater construction capabilities under the guidance of Commander 3rd Fleet. They are able to construct, inspect, repair, and maintain ocean facilities as well as underwater systems. PacBlitz19 provides relevant training that replicates a realistic maritime threat environment designed to improve naval amphibious core competencies necessary for effective, global crisis response expected of the Navy and Marine Corps.
