Capt. Brennan Goltry, 2nd Platoon leader, Company C, 2nd Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, was awarded the Silver Star, two Purple Hearts and the Combat Infantryman Badge during a ceremony at Patrol Base Olson in Samarra, Iraq, July 31. Goltry was recently wounded in action a third time and is expected to receive his third Purple Heart during his current deployment to Iraq.
