Maryland Army National Guard Staff Sgt. Cassandra Black, a military police instructor with the 2nd Battalion, 70th Regiment, rucks a 12 mile course at Gunpowder Falls, Md., a part of the Maryland Army National Guard Best Warrior Competition March 14-17, 2019. The competition is a multi-day marathon of mental and physical trials, pushing these elite service members to their limits. Competitors demonstrate their ability in a variety of warrior tasks.
