(March 16, 2019) Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class Alixander Fleeman blows the boatswain's pipe to signal underway on the bridge aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). Harry S. Truman departed Naval Station Norfolk after a three-month availability period used to upgrade systems, conduct maintenance, and provide targeted training. Harry S. Truman is currently underway conducting an independent steaming exercise to increase crew proficiency and maintain operational readiness.
