Maj Stephan Jarvis, the intelligence officer for the 204th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, Utah National Guard, and Master Sgt. Ray Helvy, the non-commissioned officer in charge of intelligence for the 204th MEB, begin training in their tactical operations center for exercise Yama Sakura 61 Jan. 26. Yama Sakura is United States Army Pacific's premier joint bilateral command post exercise with the Japan Self Defense Force. Yama Sakura 61 marks the largest bi-lateral exercise between the USARPAC and the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force since the Great Tohoku Earthquake on March 11, 2011.
