A Marine Corps weapons platoon loads Cpl. Jon-Luke Bateman's casket into a hearse during his dignified arrival Jan. 25, 2012, on the flightline at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. Bateman, 22, of Pahrump, Nev., was an infantryman assigned to 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines, 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, Calif. He was killed while serving his second combat deployment.
