Coast Guard interdicts 23 illegal migrants 11 miles east of Pompano Beach [Image 3 of 3]
One of the Coast Guard Cutter Bernard C. Webber (WPC-1101) boarding team members examine the 25-foot cabin cruiser interdicted Saturday Mar. 2, 2019 for attempting to transport 23 illegal migrants to the United States. Six of the migrants interdicted, four Chinese nationals, one Guyanese national and one Haitian national, were handed over to Border Patrol for processing and Homeland Security Investigations is now investigating this case. The remaining 17 migrants were transferred to the Royal Bahamian Defense Force and appropriate child services in Freeport, Bahamas Sunday. (U.S. Coast Guard photo)
