Derek Hinkley, Patrol Squadron 47 Australian International Airshow and Aerospace & Defence Exposition detachment officer in charge, speaks with a local contractor during the airshow at Avalon Airport. The Australian International Airshow and Aerospace & Defence Exposition is one of Australia’s premiere biennial aerospace exhibition, trade and airshows. The "Golden Swordsmen" are currently deployed to Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan conducting maritime patrol and reconnaissance and theater outreach operations within U.S. 7th Fleet (C7F) area of operations in support of Commander, Task Force 72, C7F, and U.S. Pacific Command objectives throughout the Indo-Asia Pacific region.
