RAEFORD, N.C. – North Carolina National Guard Sgt. 1st Class Darren Scales, assigned to the 105th Engineer Battalion, interacted with and provided hands-on training for the Common Remotely Operated Weapons Station to high school students from Raeford and southern regions of NC during the NCNG’s Guard X Challenge on Feb. 23, 2019. This is the first Guard X event partnering local Guard line-units, like the 105th Engineer Battalion with NCNG Recruiting and Retention units.
