Over 30 Soldiers with 164th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, Task Force Apollo, return from a year-long deployment in Washington, D.C. TF Apollo was the Command and Control element that monitored the airspace throughout the National Capital Region in order to uphold the pillars of democracy and prevent tragic events, such has 9/11, from reoccurring.
This is the 164th ADA Brigade's seventh rotation to the NCR in support of Operation Noble Eagle for the National Capital Region- Integrated Air Defense Systems mission. TF Apollo and the Joint Air Defense Operations Center (JADOC) at Joint Base Anacostia Bolling is commanded by Col. Jeffrey Strickle.
